TransEpi® aesthetic study of a proprietary vitamin D complex demonstrated increased fibroblasts and new collagen production, the protein essential for preventing and reducing the visible signs of aging.
The cream was applied daily to the skin of women with fine lines, wrinkles and photoaging damage (uneven skin tone, age spots) for 35 days. Biopsies and digital photos were used to evaluate the women’s skin. All of the clinical study endpoints were achieved and the data demonstrated numerically significant increases in fibroblasts and new collagen production.
This is the first non-retinoid topical delivery with clinical data evidencing collagen synthesis. Collagen production is essential for tissue strength, healing and to reduce the signs of lax, wrinkled skin.
The study was led by plastic surgeon Dr. Paul Kim, leading-edge aesthetics expert who specializes in non-surgical advanced technologies (Cynosure Excellence Center, Award-winning Injectors: Botox, Juvederm, etc.) and founder of the Allure Med-Spa. Dr Kim served as Chief of Plastic Surgery for the University of Pennsylvania Chester County Hospital and has conducted numerous clinical studies.
Dr Kim stated, “The product demonstrated remarkable skin rejuvenation. We are in the process of submitting the full report of the study for publication. We anticipate, daily application for a longer duration will further enhance rejuvenation as new collagen continues to be synthesized and replaces weakened dermal fibers.”
